Kheema aloo masala

Dish name: Kheema aloo masala

What we need:

Mutton kheema-250 gms

Aloo-2 medium ,sliced into 8 portions

Oil- 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp ghee

Onion- 1 big,finely chopped

Ginger garlic paste-1/2 tbsp

Curd- 3 tbsp

Fresh Coconut paste- 3-4 tbsp

Turmeric- 1/2 tsp

Coriander( dhania) powder-1 tsp

Bay leaf(Tej patta)- 1

Red chilly powder-1 tsp

Mutton masala powder-1/2 tbsp

Coriander- 1/4 cup,chopped

Salt to taste

Water as required
How we make:

First Shallow fry aloo for 3-4 mins till it changes it’s colour .Keep it aside .

  • In  pressure cooker ,heat the oil and keep it ready
  • Add tej patta,ginger garlic paste and give it a stir
  • Saute the  onions and cook til golden brown 
  • To this add turmeric, coriander powder,chilly powder 
  • After 2 mins add the coconut paste 
  • Once spices are cooked,add the kheema and stir it nicely
  • Allow the kheema to coat well with the masala.Saute for 6-7 mins
  • Add water,salt and mutton masala powder and wait till the mixture boils
  • Then add aloo and coriander leaves, close the lid and after 4 whistles turn off the burner

Serve this recipe hot with bread, phulka or chapati
